Here at Socially Superlative we are quite excited to attend the fundraiser gala celebrating the career of Middle East scholar Bernard Lewis on September 12th, 2012.  The American Friends of Tel Aviv University (AFTAU) along with Henry Kissinger, Mort Zuckerman, Ambassador Itamar Rabinovich, Harvey Krueger and other VIPs will enjoy cocktails and dinner along with a special tribute from Professor Fouad Ajami at the lovely Pierre Hotel.

Professor Lewis is the Cleveland E. Dodge Professor Emeritus of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University. At the ripe age of 96 he is still considered the foremost scholar of postwar Islam and the Middle East. The Dinner will benefit the research and scholarship of Tel Aviv University’s (TAU) Moshe Dayan Center Middle Eastern and African Studies, an internationally top-ranked think tank Professor Lewis has long been affiliated with.

If you are interested in attending this sophisticated event there are a limited number of seats which remain available for the event. For more information on securing a ticket, please visit  http://www.aftau.org/site/PageServer?pagename=LewisEvite or contact Gail Reiss at [email protected] or (212) 742-9058.
