Room to Grow is dedicated to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty for their first few years to receive developmental information, customized support, and all of the needed baby items to ensure a healthy and secure start.

Organizers truly outdid themselves this year as they transformed a tented event space adjacent to the main ballroom for an amazing cocktail hour reflecting this year’s theme of “The Sky is the Limit” and replete with an aerialist performance, wish station, and over 90 silent auction items. The new application-based auction system was easy to use and encouraged guests to bid on the items even more than the delicious signature drinks and open bar.

The party continued in the main ballroom with entertainment provided by Boston Music Award Winner Louie Bello and Band and a welcome provided by Emmy-award winning journalist for WBZ-TV/CBS Boston’s Kate Merrill. Guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal following special remarks by Executive Director Robyn Carter and a tribute to social worker Rebecca Freedman.

The most moving part of the evening was when honorees Shakiyla Dancy and Nathaniel Pratt-Love detailed the huge impact Room to Grow had upon their parenting and making a difference in the early life of their child.

Overall, the night was a great success in raising funds and awareness for the importance of supporting early childhood development and all partygoers thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
