It threatened to rain on the parade, but that didn’t stop The Infatuation from hosting a National Tequila Day party at the new 1950’s style venue, The Springs, in Greenpoint. The reason for the party was Tequila Don Julio’s release of a limited-edition Resposado tequila, that is finished in casks using Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky.
The venue was incredibly spacious and has one of those sprawling outdoor spaces that are hard to come by within city limits. The space is colorfully decorated with tons of art adorning the walls, anchored with twinkle lights that are activated at dusk.
Guests were treated to a curated menu of tequila drinks that complemented the spirit and day perfectly. We tried out the Mojave Mule, which was a concoction of prickly pear, ginger beer and Tequila Don Julio Blanco.
We also had to test out the frozen bevi that was being offered called the Dusk to Don, utilizing the Tequila Don Julio Resposado, lime juice and pomegranate shrub.
It wouldn’t be an Infatuation party without food to soak up the booze, so mini grilled cheeses, shrimp tacos, hot dogs, chips and guac, and churros for a sweet finish were circulated.
The party helped attendees celebrate the occasion to its fullest potential and we’re excited to check out the Springs more over the summer.
