On Monday, May 13, City of Hope presented the prestigious Spirit of Life® award to three notable women at their annual spring luncheon held at The Plaza in New York City.
This year’s honorees included NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent and host of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Andrea Mitchell; Editor-in-Chief of Town & Country,Stellene Volandes; and licensed associate real estate broker at Douglas Elliman, Lauren Muss. They will receive the award for their dedication to philanthropy and community.
Presenters were Howard Lorber, Chairman, Douglas Elliman; Editor-in-Chief, Elle Décor and star of the new Bravo show “Best Room Wins,” Whitney Robinson; and Libby Leist, Executive Producer, NBC’s Today Show. Jennifer Tattanelli presented a fashion show to the 400+ women in attendance.
The Spirit of Life Award is presented to individuals who exemplify the ideals and values that have guided City of Hope for over a century – someone whose professional and humanitarian accomplishments are worthy of celebration.
