Remember when you turned 20? I sure don’t. So we were happy to celebrate Brother Jimmy’s 20th Anniversary at their Upper East Side location!
It wouldn’t be a Brother Jimmy’s celebration without delicious BBQ food! While most people hovered around the bar ordering beers and the infamous fish bowl cocktails, we chased down the waitresses in skimpy shorts toting trays of crab cakes and pulled pork burgers. The crowd was packed with typical Upper East Siders (yeah, you know what I mean), but everyone was clearing enjoying themselves. Along with the eccentric decor, they have skee ball and arcade games!
In honor of being established in 1989, they temporarily rolled back their drink prices to what they were in 1989. Brother Jimmy fans also left with a coupon worth $19.89 for our next visit, Brother Jimmy’s specialty hot sauce, and some miscellaneous paraphernalia including stickers, a mug warmer, and a cute tee with dancing pigs. I guess as a reminder to us that those pig sacrificed their lives to give us a delicious meal – courtesy of Brother Jimmy’s.
They have a ton of other locations scattered throughout the city so be sure to check out their website to find the one nearest you. They have great food and drink specials daily, so call me to share the fish bowl!
