Our all-time favorite folks at New York & Company hosted one of the best events for September 10th’s Fashion’s Night Out! With Carson Kressley as their endearing spokesperson, the store was packed with shoppers celebrating NY&C’s re-launched Red Label Collection!
We walked in the store and it was already a dance party. At first, it seemed that people were more into the music by DJ Steve Powers because people were dancing between the clothing fixtures! However, once guests took note of the apparel, they eagerly took to the racks: blouses, skirts, sweaters, pants – everything was flying off the racks! One outerwear jacket was $160, which was the most expensive item in the store, and everything else was affordable while remaining stylish. Customers who bought from the Red Label Collection received a sexy green faux-python make up kit.
Kressley was giving out inspirational styling tips while models wore pieces from the Red Collection that he outfitted, and he even invited people from off the street to come in. Like always, he made guests laugh, asking a little baby, “Who are you wearing?” Clearly, Fashion Week spares no one from judgement!
I was able to chat with NY&C’s PR Director, Marielle Gelber, in our first photo of the gallery with Kressley. She was so excited about the New York & Company collection looks and FNO, and graciously filled me in on the collection detail by detail. Kressley stuck around long after the show to sign autographs and even approached one particularly charming young man – perhaps to pursuade him to pursue a career in modeling? A surprise visit from Chrishell Strause of All My Children attended on the arm of studly ex-bachelor Graham Bunn from The Bachelorette.
Check our photos courtesy of Ms. Gelber herself, and pop into the NY&C store. It was a great night of not only fashion, but dancing and music! A great way to kick off Fashion Week Spring 2010! See you in the tents –
