The stylings of Mona Kowalska in her A Détacher Spring 2010 collection reflect her calm, collected persona. Using organic and floral prints, or neutral solids, her collection brings a look of sophisticated comfort and relaxation.
Silhouettes she used were predominately baggy pants on jumpsuits and rompers, casual yet classic. Outfits were paired with a colorful grandma-esque sweater with diamond-crossed stripes, tied at the waist or wrapped around the shoulders.
My favorite pieces were the loosely crocheted dresses and cover-up tops for a more feminine look. The models walked gracefully and purposefully down the runway, and at the end of the show Kowalska herself peeked shyly out from behind the stage to wave hello.
