Jen Kao presented at Milk Studios last night, her Fall 2010 Collection a mixure of goth, punk, furturistic styles. The angular seams give her designs an edgy and rebellious look, but the femininity arises from the slender, body-skimming fits.
The presentation started off with a few intricate knit dresses. If there was a way to make cable-knit sweaters sexy, this is the way! The intricate patterns twisted and turned, hugging closely to the models’ curves. I am a fan of the exposed back that give a seemingly plain dress a glimpse of sexiness.
Kao then incorporated leather, velour, furs, and lots of textured fabrics into her collection, using mainly black and gray, but with burgundy for pops of color. Kind of a Twilight-meets-sexy fashion style?
I loved the edginess of the styles and dream about pulling off the sexy-rocker look!
