Monique Lhuillier’s Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show was the hit of the afternoon on Monday, with fashionistas clamoring for a seat (or even standing room only) at her 3:00pm showing in the main stage tent at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

With a gorgeous display of ethereal colored gowns, it won’t be a surprise when we see her work on all the finest red carpets next awards season.  Several feathery frocks from the show are perfect for A-list presenters and nominees on Emmy and Oscar nights!

The color of the show certainly seemed to be orange, taking the stage in the form of pants, skirts, and dresses….along with some soft floral prints that hinted at a lighter, more feminine touch to the show.  There were several one-shoulder ball gowns that seemed to be the trend for the coming season.

The designer herself took a quick bow at the end of the show, but chose to schmooze backstage in private with her famous fans, including Perry Reeves, Emma Roberts, Maggie Grace and Alexis Bledel.

We can’t wait to see which celeb will wear her spring/summer line first!

Cheers,
