A few hours before the runway show of Gottex by Molly Grad someone said to me, “45 minutes of gorgeous women in swimsuits, what more could a MAN ask for?”  Having just seen the Spring 2011 collection first hand on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, I can honestly say,  “12 minutes of gorgeous women in stunning Gottex beach-wear, what more could a WOMAN ask for?!?”

Whereas most of the bling was in the form as metallic accents on the swimsuits, there was some bling in the front row in the form of Omarion who was sitting next to fellow R&B singer Kat DeLuna.  With
not many known, to me, front-row’ers at this show, I was all prepared to be, once again this week, disappointed with another line of swimsuits which I didn’t care for but what did I get … a totally new
appreciation for outfits made for the beach, both in and out of the water.

Perfection is what Gottex by Molly Grad showed with her new Spring 2011 collection.  Her creative and innovative beach-wear showed the beauty of the female body with its glamour and sophistication.  The
specially crafted fabrics for the collection showed a metallic inspiration that made the collection sexy and strong. The silhouettes accentuated the female form, while the crystals made the beach-wear luxurious and glamorous.  The flowiness of the trains that were attached to some of the swimsuits made the suits more sophisticated and created a WOW effect in the collection.

Even though the collection was perfect, and it is THE beach-wear of the season, Molly Grad’s choice of styling could have been more fashionable and youthful.  The raised hair and sleek styling was outdated and didn’t do the overall look any justice and, quite frankly, didn’t fit in with the glamourous and feminine collection.

Thanks, Molly … see you in February.
