As you may know, October is the month of Breast Cancer Awareness and to kick off the initiative, American Cancer Society held their charitable event Making Strides Against Breast Cancer at the chic Flute Gramercy lounge/ speakeasy.

The event started off with good company, great music from DJ Chopps, several delicious hor’d oeuvres & premium open bar and not to mention a special champagne pairing from Flute Gramercy & chocolate tasting  from Exotic Chocolate Tasting.  During this presentation, we sampled decadent chocolate from different regions of the world recommended by Chocolate Sommelier Roxanne Browning of Exotic Chocolate Tasting with some amazing champagne selections.

The event had a good turn out of company of guest speakers, Breast Cancer survivors, and supporters for this cause as well as raising funds through their silent auction as well as through several raffling opportunities.

Some of the raffle prizes included: Dinner for Two at Rayuela Restaurant Halston Heritage Clutch courtesy of, Warren Tricomi Salon, Fleischman Salon for Men, Apple Seeds Spa, tickets to “Promises, Promises,” wine making class for 2 at The Brooklyn Winery, and cupcake making class for 2 at Butter Lane.
