For Pacha NYC’s 5th Anniversary, they threw 5 parties with one of them being a benefit for the North Shore Animal League America co-hosted by Beth Ostrosky Stern, wife of radio personality Howard Stern and taking place in their private 3rd floor area, Pachita, on Saturday night, December 11th, 2010.

Up a freight elevator, complete with champagne bar, we went with a few other guests and their little (and some big) doggies and enter the party area.  The DJ’s getting people dancing with a combination of music styles, the bartenders are mixing drinks at a mile a minute, rescue dogs are running around in the doggie-pen created in the back area, finger foods are being passed around and the Pacha girls are strutting their stuff in and around the amazing anniversary cake shaped like two cherries (Pacha’s fruity logo is a symbol for people “who live a life as full and sweet as gleaming cherries”).

Over $5,000 was raised for this most-deserving not-for-profit as the North Shore Animal League America is the “world’s largest no-kill pet rescue and adoption organization” with 100% of the admission ticket price going to NSALA as well as supplemantal donations being accepted during the benefit with comfortable t-shirts available to those who donated an extra $20 or more.

Seen early-on in the night were Tinsley Mortimer and her boyfriend Brian Mazza schmoozing with fellow animal lovers and being introduced to some of the rescue dogs in the back by the oh-so-friendly NSALA assistants.

TV personality, actress, and model Cognac Wellerlane, looking her usual fabulous self, was there interviewing people on camera for Long Island Exchange.

Also in attendance were Millionaire Matchmaker’s P.J. Marks and Michael Wachs along with New York doggie social sceners  (did you know there was a NY doggie social scene?!?)  Erika Searl, Karen Biehl with Eli the Celebrity Chihuahua), Grace Forster ( with Portia ), Anthony Gil de Rubio (with Bandit) and Roberto Negrin.

All in all a fun filled night that brought in some money for a worthy cause and oh, by the way, to our canine readers:  Bow-wow, woof-woof, arf-arf Spot.
