Have you ever seen one that huge??

[Insert obligatory “That’s what she said.”]

Armand de Brignac unveiled the world’s largest luxury bottle of champagne, a massive 30-liter bottle (do the math: that’s 40 regular-sized 750 ml bottles) weighing 100 pounds.  The bottle is named Midas, after the King Midas in Greek mythology who’s touch turned everything into gold.

The first Midas bottle of Armand de Brignac was sold for $100,000 to an anonymous high-roller at the famous nightclub XS in Las Vegas’s Encore casino, part of Steve Wynn’s Wynn Hotels group. Two burly men were needed to carry the bottle to the table.

Also there that evening was nationally recognized mixed martial arts and UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, hosting his UFC 125 after-party, joined by fighters Gilbert Melendez, Urijah Faber, Jake Shields, and UFC announcer Bruce Buffer.

Armand de Brignac, aka Ace of Spades, is ranked the number one champagne in the world in a blind-tasting of over 1,000 brands.  And the ginormo version of the champagne, just like the regular bottles of Armand, is entirely hand produced from grape to glass.
