On Wednesday night, the folks behind the Shorty Awards presented a #ShortyArtShow, celebrating past Shorty Award winner and Fail Whale creator Yiying Lu.

The extremely humbled Lu displayed art from her new wall graphics start-up, Walls 360 at NYC’s Gallery Bar and encouraged guests to take home one of many re-useable wall graphics on display.

You can read about Yiying Lu and her Shorty Award win in New York Times Magazine.  CNET has the story about her quest to democratize art. View photos from her last exhibition at the Hotel des Arts in San Francisco.  Even Conan O’Brien had some nice things to say!

Nominations are now open for the 3rd annual event and can be made through Twitter and the Shorty Awards website.
