Hitting the Tents at Lincoln Center on the eve of February 12th was great! Just another day at Fashion Week as a writer trying to soak up all I could was thrilling. Luckily, I had great friend and fashion enthusiast Dafna Babchuk by my side to truly evaluate and discuss each look.

Maisonette 1977 by Jane Ibrahim was the show, The Box was the space and the fashions were all the rage!  This well thought out collection was so refreshingly beautiful. It was an alluring mix between uptown chic for a downtown girl; some looks going from work to play or just downright play capturing the idea of a night out on the town. Model’s stood on white, gathered together; uneven platforms while viewers Ooh-ed & Aaww-ed in the round.

The first things I noticed were these amazing combat boot-like pumps and futuristic strapped wedge-like heals! I LOVED THEM! The furs, the leathers, and the chiffons, where just so artistically paired together. Who would have thought one could dip die fur?  Pure Genius!  The construction of each leather jacket and pant were supreme and adorned with zippers that gave it an edgy kick! The cocktail dresses were simply intricate and very pretty to say the least!

Great gift bags were given as guests left. A Maisonette 1977 tote bag filled with goodies any girl would love! I can’t wait to see Jane Ibrahim’s collection next season! I’m looking forward to seeing more from her creative brain!
