This season, Spanish designer Toni Francesc, was inspired by GARUDÀ , a mystical eagle-size bird that burns to death to rise from its ashes every 500 years.

Each runway look featured one or more of GARUDÀ elements such as its vibrant colors- especially fierce solid shades of red, orange and golden yellow. The bird’s energy was present all through the show while the fluids silk looks served to represent the fire and some gray, black and white tones of wool appeared as the ashes residual of all living things.

Overall the collection was true to Toni’s ability to capture the essence of young sophisticated women who want to find a balance between urban and natural. The sleek designs were eminently chic and wearable while being easy to dress up or down to go from the office to an after work cocktail.
