Thrillist is celebrating two weeks of Martini Week from April 4th-17th, 2011 with great specialty cocktails from 16 of NYC’s trendiest bars, lounges, and restaurants.

Each venue will offer their own signature interpretation of a classic gin or vodka martini, each for around $11.  To claim this alcoholic deal, which runs each day from 5:30pm – 8:30pm, simply tell the bartender that they have come for a Martini Week cocktail.  The participating venues include: 48 Lounge, Abe & Arthurs, Aspen Social Club, Ava Lounge, Double Crown, Dylan Prime, INC Lounge at the Time Hotel, Merc Bar, Oceana, Public, Rayuela, Revel NYC, Tao, The Pierre: Two E Bar, VIG 27 and Volstead.

We were lucky enough to be invited to their private invitation-only kick-off event at The Kitchen NYC in Midtown East.  To celebrate the lushiness that is Martini Week, Thrillist invited bartenders from the Martini Week hot spots to stir up some trouble for us.

The mustachey and suspendered bartender from Abe & Arthur created the sparkling wine-topped “Bohemian Club.”  The Pierre served up the fancy Poire & Luxardo Maraschino “Pierre Aviation.”  Rayuela’s pink-peppercorn “G Cocktail” definitely hit the spot.  And a busty gal from Tao served up the “Zen Jewel” for a minty gin, lemon, and St. Germain liquid treat.

To top it all off, we were spoiled with hors d’oeurves from Top Chef’s Cynthia Sestito, like the Sapphire “Legs and Eggs”: crispy fried quail legs and deviled quail eggs, drizzled with a reduction of Sapphire and crushed juniper berries.  To end it all, we chased it with some Grey Goose Cupcakes.

Get more info here on Martini Week! Also, we were told the recipe for Rayuela‘s awesome cocktail, so we’re gonna share it with you.  Enjoy!
