Last week, Rue La La celebrated the launch of Rue New York City, the latest in exclusive local group deals, at the Hotel on Rivington with a lovely, intimate celebration.  Branching out from their fabulous fashion taste with same sales, Rue La La is now hand-picking local deals for us, giving us exclusive offers on great dining and fun activities throughout out great city.

CO-OP Food & Drink provided the delicious passed hor d’oeuvres, samplings of their regular Asian-inspired menu.  We hope that this place fares better than the other of the hotel’s restaurant ventures (ahem, Levant East, anyone?).  The bartenders were serving up Rue-tinis, a delicious watermelon and cucumber flavored martini that certainly gave us a taste of summer.

Earlier this month, Rue New York City invited us to one of their very first events, a deal featuring a cooking class at Alta Cucina.  We had a fantastic time learning all about simple, healthy Italian cooking, and we can’t wait to see what other offers Rue New York City has in store for us!
