Alizé turned The Penthouse at the Hotel on Rivington into a tropical oasis on Tuesday night to launch the Alizé Mix Squad, the first ever all female DJ program to take the world by storm. Adrienne Bailon, with her extensive background in music and love of Alizé was on hand to host the festivities.
Girls in Alizé emblazoned terry cloth strapless dresses handed out candy-colored Alizé cocktails as you walked in. Waiters passed around fresh gourmet bites like salmon sushi topped with crushed tomato, gazpacho shooters and kale caesar salad.
The 2nd floor of the space played host to manicurists pampering guests to a polish change and the venue even included a breathtaking third floor rooftop with a sprawling view of the NYC skyline. An Alizé “Mix it Up” photo booth was on hand so partygoers could take home a keepsake of the evening. All of this transpired as the Alizé Mix Squad traded off DJ sets that kept the crowd moving.
The reason behind Alizé’s creation of this super power female DJ group is that they wanted to give Alizé fans what they want. The demographic, which is predominantly women, tends to gravitate towards fashion and music and what better way than to stay true to their “mix it up” philosophy with the best in the music industry. Last night’s event kicks off the crew’s first of many DJ sets to be played in each DJ’s respective region and each performance will be yet another opportunity to have Alizé play host to the events.
