On Tuesday, SoHo foodie darling, Delicatessen hosted a Summer in SoHo kick off party to help celebrate all that we love about summer in New York (friends, fruity cocktails, etc.) and to launch its new, summer-focused menu. Party-goers were treated to bites from the new menu courtesy of Executive Chef, Michael Ferraro, as well as the new dessert menu that Pastry Chef, Kate Cowan has introduced at Delicatessen.

The happy crowd was lively and very hungry, eagerly awaiting each new morsel as it arrived.  The delicious line up showcased the modern fusion cuisine at its finest: pulled pork tacos; tuna and avocado tempura rolls (slathered with a wonderfully zippy wasabi cream!), tempura caprese salad (fried mozarella skewers with fresh tomato and basil). 

The “Tilly” cocktail of the hour was playful and quite sweet, featuring pommegranite and strawberries held together with the smoothness of Satisfaction Vodka.

The setting was perfect for a small, chic party, and I look forward to bringing good people together to eat, drink and be merry (as much as a New Yorker can), at Delicatessan, soon.  Hopefully I’ll see you there!
