Last weekend, MTV and Dove teamed up at the Gansevoort Park Hotel to prove that a little bit of rain won’t stop the fun. (OK, truth be told it was a rainstorm of biblical proportions!) The “Fresh Spin” party featured three of the east coast’s hottest female deejays, and spotlighted Dove’s newest products that help the ladies work hard and play hard while staying cool.
DJ Chelsea Leyland from New York, DJ Jessica Who from Miami, and DJ Diamond Kuts from Philadelphia were all tapped to rock the house because they encompass the spirit of exactly the woman that goFresh products were designed for. Dove knows that girls just wanna have fun, but that sometimes the pressures of life throw us curveballs…and they want to help us refresh.
Stepping off the hotel elevator, guests were instantly greeted by a team of Dove hostesses who signed us up to take a spin with one of the deejays and get our hands dirty. I got my vinyl lesson from DJ Diamond Kuts, who taught me the “fine art” of scratching. This girl knows how to have a good time, too! With a mixed up string of beats that included today’s Top 40 and the best old school hip hop tracks, it’s easy to see why she rules the Philly airwaves with her Friday and Saturday night spots on Power 99 FM.
Attendees enjoyed gourmet nibbles and specialty themed cocktails to complement the newest Dove goFresh fragrance addition to the collection, Rebalance. With a succulent plum and sakura blossom scent, the deodorant/body mist/body wash line was designed to inspire on-the-go busy gals to rebalance themselves in the midst of their hectic lives.
No great shindig would be complete without a fun gift bag to send us off in style, and Dove not only provided goFresh products for us to try at home, but also threw in killer DJ-style headphones to unleash the spinster in each of us. Look out ladies – I’m on the hunt for my own turntables now that I’ve had my lesson!
