After a crazy week of fashion shows and after parties, it was wonderful to attend an event that was a bit more relaxed, fun, and educational: You see, I had the opportunity to attend the Metropolitan Opera Season Preview with the Young Associates on the Grand Tier of the Metropolitan Opera House. It was so lovely! Everyone, guests and hosts, were super friendly, approachable and open to meet new people which made for an even better time! Young professionals from ages 21-45 were invited to bask in the young associates program while sipping on champagne and tasting the never-ending cheese and bread arrangement.

As guests arrived, the women were dressed to beautifully; not overly done in ball gowns but from cocktail dresses to pant outfits. However some of the men came a bit too casual for my taste. Jeans and a polo to an event at the MET Opera?? – I don’t think so. However, most of the men were dressed very well! Among the well-dressed were two of the Met’s younger lead opera singers. WOW, they were fantastic. Each singer sang two songs from the operas they were in.

I’m a lover of the opera and this night completely excited, relaxed and rejuvenated me for the week ahead. I’m so happy I befriended two women who both work in journalism for Yahoo and the WSJ and they made my night even more exciting and fun. These two women are just a few among the wonderful people I met, who I know I will soon see socially again soon.
