Though it’s the beginning of November and you may think it’s too early for gift shopping, rest assured the holiday season will creep up on you all too quickly. Fortunately, we’ve already got our eyes on the look-out for great gifts to give and get, and we’ve got something to satisfy the ladies with a bag festish. Which – let’sbereal – is pretty much all of us.
Our eyes locked on to Leoluca Handbags – classic bags with a modern twist and just a touch of sass. The debut Fall/Winter 2011 collection consists of four functional styles – a large tote, cross-body, envelope clutch, and shoulder bag – with details studs as edgy detailing and made from genuine leather.
My favorite bag is the Sebastian in black. Sizeable enough to hold everything and anything you could need for every useage, it is practical but also has a hint of rebelliousness with the sharp angle, textured leather, and metallic studs and china. As this bag runs you $429, it says, “Yes, I am employed so that I can buy nice things, but I can still look bad-ass while going to my corporate office.” The cream & white version has a bit more of an angelic feel, and the two layers complement each other very nicely.
For their smaller bags, Josie in black is a practical little number with a detachable chain, metal stud detailing, and small pockets on the back as well as on the inside to hold all of your hidden secrets. Its white counterpart, Winter, has ostrich embossing. These will run you $229 and no doubt will keep you looking fabulous all night long.
The designers behind Leoluca are committed to supporting the local economy by sourcing all their textiles and labor within the US, so as an added holiday bonus, you can feel good about supporting America.
These bags are elegant and sophisticated, but with a smidge of attitude that highlights your inner rock star persona. A great quality piece to indulge in!
