In a city that has an abundance of bridal shows, it’s refreshing to see one stand out, taking on a unique niche in order to give brides a customized experience. Hosted by tanaRi Events, the first annual Tie the Knot Bazaar was held at the high-end Soigne K couture shop. Targeting the Indian wedding circuit, it gave brides-to-be a chance to mingle with some of the cities most sought after vendors in the industry.
Walking in, guests were greeted with scrumptious appetizers and drinks by Tulsi NYC, a critically acclaimed restaurant that is known for its distinct flavors and mastery of tandoor cooking. And without missing a beat, delicious desserts awaited, courtesy of Bittersweet NYC’s Surbhi Sahni, while a fanciful wedding cake stood tall on display.
Walking in, I met with wedding photojournalist company KSD Weddings and the whimsical stationery store 3 Bees Paperie, while makeup artist Heidi from Damali NYC gave guests free makeovers.
As the sun set, guests were greeted with an exotic surprise: belly dancers! The beautiful girls from Sublime Bellydance, twisted and twirled to beats, bringing us away from the concrete jungle into a world of colorful enchantment.
Even if you’re not engaged, best to go ahead and mark this not-to-be-missed annual event on your calendar for next year.
