Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week, also known as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, is here! This will be my 4th season attending shows on and off site. Today kicks off a week of VIP appointments, grand presentations and a huge variety of shows all around New York City. Its a jungle out there but fun nonetheless! Last season—I mistakenly forgot to mention my Top 3 shows I attended for the first time! So, I saved it for another time until today. What better way to get excited for a new season than to go back to Spring 2012.
At Lela Rose we saw a mixture of prints, color-blocking and a variety of angles & geometry shapes on the clothes. While looking at some of the looks (Including the one above) I instantly thought of Brad Goreski, due to his ever-loving admiration of all things color! After the show, I met Brad, who at the time was filming his new show, It’s a Brad Brad World for Bravo. He could not have been more delightful & just adorable! I congratulated him on his newfound success and the topic led to Jessica Alba, one of his clients. I told him I can definitely see Jessica wearing a look or three from Lela Rose’s Spring 12′ collection & he agreed! Brad, stay cool.
I also chatted with actress AnnaSophia Robb! Sweet girl who seemed very overwhelmed in a good way. We talked about our favorite looks from the show. Check out the images below!
Honor Spring 2012 collection showcased a women’s desire to be who “she wants to be” I love the volume skirt in one look. Femininity!
Falguni and Shane Peacock. Never been so in awe after look after look in my short years of attending NYFW. Expect Fergie, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna to don a look or five. Just spectacular ! I was sitting second row on the right–So I had a good bird’s eye view on the pieces. If I learn one thing from Spring 2012–Spring is the most favorable season.
