With locations in NYC, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia and other major cities across the country, The WGIRLS is a great organization that provides underprivileged women and children in local communities, with the support and resources necessary to achieve health, happiness, and the ability to lead productive and successful adult lives.

On Thursday evening the WGIRLS NYC put together their 3rd Annual Ties & Tiaras event at the posh Inc Lounge, to help raise money for Project G.L.a.M. The Project GLaM program is dedicated to making “Cinderella” dreams come true for NYC underprivileged high school girls, who cannot afford to attend their Senior Prom, by offering them everything they’ll need for their special day.  A great cause especially in this time where a lot of families are struggling with income because of the country’s economic crisis!

Tiara-donned guests sipped on Patron cocktail concoctions like Cookies & Cream, XO Punch, and of course, margaritas, while swaying to the tunes of DJ Demby.  Guests also got the chance to participate in a silent auction to bid on gift packages anywhere from a beauty/spa package to getting to meet a NFL player!

The WGIRLS believes that all women and children regardless of race, religion or financial situation, deserve access to quality education, healthcare, strong, positive influences for themselves and their children, and a safe and loving home.

Amy Heller is the Founder and International President of the WGIRLS INC. In her role, she oversees all aspects of the organization, sets the strategic vision, and works closely with the board to ensure the organization’s continued success.  After ten years on Wall Street, Amy recently left the corporate world to concentrate on the continued growth of the WGIRLS organization.  A native of New Jersey, she has lived, played and worked in Manhattan New York where she founded WGIRLS in 2007.

“I am so proud of the WGIRLS . Through the dedication and hard work of our members we have created a place where women come together in friendship and service to make a real difference in the lives of others. The WGIRLS grows leaders, encourages team work, and promotes volunteerism in an environment that CELEBRATES friendship and fun”
