On Thursday, March 15th, 2012, Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, celebrated 125 years of success.
The party was an exclusive affair with only 150 VIPs in attendance, taking place on Liberty Island in by the Statue of Liberty. The evening was hosted by actor Adrian Grenier, and we can’t help but swoon over him and his dapper suit.
Adrian Grenier celebrated alongside Glenfiddich’s famed Malt Master Brian Kinsman. Shouldn’t they be wearing matching kilts?
One of the many highlights of the evening was an auction of the first U.S. bottle of the world’s most valuable single malt — one of 11 available. The 55-Year-Old Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve was won with a bid of $94,000, becoming the most expensive whisky purchased at auction. Proceeds are going to Grenier’s SHFT initiatives, a charity dedicated to sustainability causes.
