The event may have started off to a slow start but the night ended with an energetic and awesome show put on by Bad Boy Records newest rapper, Machine Gun Kelly aka MGK. MGK has just released his debut album on March 20th titled, ‘Half Naked & Almost Famous’. The show was held at the Asian-inspired lounge Hiro Ballroom in Manhattan.
The event was also celebrating Inked Magazine’s Skin and Style Issue, which has Machine Gun Kelly on the cover. I am a big fan of skin art aka tattoos so it was nice to see a lot of the people at the event showcasing their unique tattoos.
Press was escorted upstairs to the VIP Lounge to enjoy the show and enjoy a Ciroc Vodka open bar. MGK grabbed the mic and hit the stage running performing his hits off his album. He also introduced a special guest, his ‘big brother’, fellow Bad Boy artist French Montana, who is amongst the hottest artists in the rap game today. “Shot Caller” was the next track DJ Prostyle had lined up for the rapper. He closed his set with his overly popular “Stay Schemin,” a track he has with Rick Ross and Drake.
I have heard of Machine Gun Kelly before but never heard his music or seem him perform live. I must say MGK seemed very humble and really interacted with the crowd, who made sure to show him plenty of love!
MGK will be putting on shows throughout the country and you can even win a pair of tickets for a chance to see him up live and in person! Go to www.mgklaceup.com/ quick for your chance to win!
