Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club down by the South Street Seaport is the best place to kick off your shoes and dig your toes in the sand. While the bar had gone away for the winter, it’s alive and kicking again, opening this Saturday, April 14th, 2012.
Last year, we celebrated the summer opening with Lance Bass and enjoyed an autumn bonfire. We’re certainly back for more. From April 14th through the remainder of the month, BBGBC will have a limited weekend schedule on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Starting May 4th, they will be operating in full force all 7 days of the week – a perfect excuse to take a weekday off.
Not only that, they are launching a new boozy brunch party: beginning the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 27th, and taking place every Sunday after, they will launch their first Bikini Brunch Beach Party. Come in your skimpiest swimsuit, nosh on food and drinks, and enjoy music from some of the top DJs.
Beer Garden & Beach Club Reclaim Position as Summer Hotspot
New York residents and tourists alike can breathe a sigh of relief – Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club will officially re-open its doors for business on Saturday, April 14th. Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club, located adjacent to the South Street Seaport, will operate under a limited weekend schedule, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday, for the remainder of the month. Beginning Friday, May 4th, Beekman will be open seven days a week from 12:00PM-3:00AM. The popular outdoor oasis launches into summer with a new menu, additional beers on tap and a schedule of events that should not be missed.
The dramatic unobstructed view of the landmark Brooklyn Bridge firmly anchors Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club in modern Manhattan. The 18,000 square foot space boasts two 25 and 60 foot bars made from reclaimed driftwood, fire pits, flat screen TVs, foosball and ping pong tables. “We want to celebrate the upcoming season and provide our customers with an experience unlike any other in Manhattan,” claimed owner Telly Hatzigeorgiou.
The white sanded 10,000 square foot Beekman Beach remains lined with Beekman’s infamous glowing lounge chairs and couches. Beekman Beach will now have its own private entrance and bar for exclusive event offerings. Beginning the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 27th, Beekman will launch its first Bikini Brunch Beach Party to continue every Sunday thereafter. The Bikini Brunch Beach Party encourages patrons to visit Beekman every Sunday afternoon decked out in their best swimsuit while enjoying music from some of the top DJs in New York City.
Executive Chef Jason Mayer has improved upon Beekman’s beer garden favorites with the addition of a $10,000 custom-made smoker. New menu highlights include Kansas City Slow Cooked Spare Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandwich on a Brioche Bun served with Slaw, Fish and Chips made with Fresh Cod and served with Roasted Pepper Tartar Sauce and Fish Tacos with Fire Roasted Long Island Corn Salsa. Also available, Beekman’s Beach Raw Bar with clams and oysters on the half shell. In addition, Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club have increased the number of local craft beers they have available on tap, now including Blue Point Toasted, Blue Point White IPA, Sierra Pale Ale, Magic Hat #9, Smuttynose IPA, Ommegang Witte, Sixpoint Sweet Action and Sixpoint Pils.
