On Thursday, April 26th, Jay-Z’s newly renovated 40/40 Club hosted a number of NFL draftees including Robert Griffin III (AKA RG3), Trent Richardson, Justin Blackmon, and Quinton Coples, in addition to NFL veterans like former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin, Eagles running back Lesean McCoy, Giant’s player Hakeem Nicks, Buccaneer Mark Barron, Brian Westbrook, and Eddie George. While the party was supposed to be hosted by Jay-Z and NY Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, the rapper was nowhere to be found and the purported appearances by DJ Pauly D and Vinny from Jersey Shore didn’t quite pan out.

While this “after party” really took place for the duration of the draft (which seemed to never end), the open bar sponsored by Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka helped pass the time with innovative cocktails, including one named after their celebrity spokesman Diddy.

DJ Enuff spun lots of Jay-Z and Beyonce hits throughout the evening, which was a total tease since they didn’t make an appearance (at least not before 1:30am when I finally gave up and left).

Happy Drafting,

Jenicka
