Stylist Priscilla Monteiro of The Fashion Reporter hosted a very fashionable NBA Draft event presented by Porsche Designs at their flagship store located in SoHo. The event got off to a late start, however once we entered the premised we were greeted with red and white wine compliments of Forever Young Wine with DJ Marvilous spinning, playing the best old school hits to warm up the crowd before the big show.
NBA Draft Candidates from Paul Crosby, Ty Edmondson, Jordan Theodore, Dion Waiters, and Tyrone Caldwell, all strutted their stuff in Porsche Design’s Fall/Winter 2012-2013 mens collection which included leather biker jackets, graphic trees, scarves and the very popular Carrera sunglasses.
NY Knicks J.R. Smith closed the show in a stunning biker look that paired perfectly with his tattoos. Other VIP’s in attendance were Ray Edwards of the Atlanta Falcons, Alvin Bowen of the Denver Broncos, as well as Scotty Hopson, who is a top NBA Draft 2012 candidate.
It was hard to see the runway show as the space was a little crowded. On a side note, the food served was less than desirable, in fact it tasted like it could have came from your local neighborhood Chinese restaurant and was left out for a few hours before being served! However, that did not damper our mood to enjoy the fashionable crowd and show.
I wish all the NBA hopefuls good luck! For all the stylish men who would like to check out the clothes up close and person be sure to visit Porsche Designs at their Soho location.
