Just when we thought we were over polo season, the Socially Superlative crew was lucky to snag and invite to Talent Resources’ Third Annual Charity Polo Classic, held on Saturday, July 7th at a private estate in Watermill. And when we mean private, we mean exactly that: some dude out in the Hamptons is baller enough to have a yard ginormous enough to hold a polo match. As it was a lovely, elegant affair, the neighbors were sure to be okay with the ruckus.
The event went to benefit Rally for Kids with Cancer, whose philanthropic mission is to raise funds in support of children’s cancer research, treatment and care.
In attendance was Mike Heller and his Talent Resources team who welcomed American polo star and the host for the afternoon, Nic Roldan. With help with ticket sales on Gilt City, over 250 guests attended to show support for this wonderful cause. There were a slew of Real Housewives of New York in attendance, Ramona and Mario Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps with boyfriend Jacques Azoulay, and Kelly Bensimon with her youngest daughter Teddy. Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo attended with her daughter Lexi, along with Bravo’s Gold Coast Girls star Chanel Omari, celebrity style expert Lindsi Lane and plus sized model Andrea Horblitt.
Stellar cocktails were provided by Mulberry Project, wine from 14 Hands Winery, and home-brewed iced tea from The Teaologist. Other sponsors included Bio Supplements, Baked by Melissa, FLOROwater, Soria Z, and teeth whitening services from Dr. Lee Gause. Oh, and don’t forget Aston Martin, who littered the mansion’s yard with cars worth more than my life.
For entertainment, lyricist/vocalist duo Dean and Ravo serenaded the audience with their lively beats. Not to be left starved, Kitchit – a service of chefs providing custom-tailored meals and private parties at your whim – presented the dinner. Chef Dave Martin, known for his appearance on Top Chef Season 1, cooked a beautiful meal for guests to enjoy.
Despite the blazing summer heat, guests enjoyed the polo match, the fabulous Watermill setting, the delicious food and cocktails, the silent auction and entertainment. Such is the fabulous life of a Hamptons socialite!
