Alternative Apparel paired with Shopbop to celebrate the launch of the limited edition “Message Bag” and took over the Treehouse of the James Hotel. The bag was designed by a collaboration with the oh-so-sultry Olivia Wilde, actress of movie fame People Like Us and TRON, as well as TV’s House M.D.
Not only is Alternative Apparel known for their comfort, quality, and craftsmanship, but now they are doing it all for a great cause: A portion of proceeds will benefit the Academy for Peace and Justice, a secondary school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti funded by Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis’s charity, Artists for Peace and Justice.
“While we always start with product and we love the Alternative bag, we were particularly excited to have this bag on site because it was such a great charity and cause.” Darcy Penick, Head of Buying, Shopbop
While sipping on summer cocktails, friends and fashionistas commemorated the evening by decorating their very own Message Bag with studs, stencils, and other crafty items to personalize their one-of-a-kind bags at a DIY station.
Casual, comfortable, and versatile, the bag is great for a casual day out on the town. To snag your own bag, buy it on Shopbop here!
