On Thursday, August 9th, the Young Members Circle hosted their Fifth Annual Big Apple Bash at the Museum of the City of New York (MCNY), barely dodging the rain that had plagued the city just hours before.

The party took place on the museum’s front terrace decorated with purple Chinese lanterns and lights and attendees were encouraged to check out the exhibits inside such as Stone Roberts New York Paintings and New York interiors 1690-1906. The Big Apple Bash hosts young members ages 21 to 39 to help raise money for the Museum’s operations, exhibitions, and educational programs.

Guests sipped on Van Gogh Vodka cocktails and New Wines of Greece and Velvet Palate, while snacked on breads from Sullivan St Bakery as DJ Luther Riggs spun dance music that got the crowd onto the dance floor, some sans shoes.

At 10pm guests listened intently for the chance of their name being called for the Saturday Night Live tickets or VIP seats for a year’s worth of concerts at Central Park’s Summerstage, two of the items that were up for grabs and it looked like everyone had a bit of a stake in the raffle. O.N.E. Coconut water ended the night to help attendees rehydrate before work next day.

The Young Members Circle is a group of New York professionals, ages 21-39, interested in learning more about the city we live in and supporting the Museum of the City of New York,. The Circle provides funds for the Museum and its renowned photography collection.
