This past Saturday, the Glitz Glamour Groove Give Benefit event by Ooh la la Boutique, created to benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation. Their mission is to increase awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of an active lifestyle.

The Glitz Glamour Groove Give took over the penthouse of Hotel Allergia in Long Beach, NY. As guests walked in, their photos were taken on the step and repeat wall, and greeted by the Oh la la Boutique staff. Walking into the main room of the space the oversized bar offered specialty cocktails sponsored by LiV vodka. The spread of various finger foods ranging from fruit, assorted breads, cheese and meat platters, mini sliders and desserts from Moon River Bakery  that made your mouth water.

The fashion show hosted by Jill Zarin, one of the former cast member of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City took place pool side. The ladies strutted down the runway with break dancers’ in-between displaying some of the 2012 Fall Collection trends styled and sold by Ooh la la Boutique located in Long Beach, Huntington, Fire Island and Babylon, NY. Hair and make-up was done by the talented Studio of Babylon, NY.

In attendance were Mob Wives reality stars, Karen Gravano and Ramona Rizzo. Ramona walked down the runway in a short black dress, with shoulder cut outs scream with a bedazzled toy gun. As the fashion show ended, the full cast of models did a final walk wearing their branded Oh la la Boutique shirts. Jill further concluded the show by giving thanks to the sponsors, and attendees of the event and of course the host Oh la la Boutique. She encouraged those to enjoy the rest of the night and continue to party.

Boarding for Breast Cancer’s table featured two silicon breasts that guests could feel the difference of a lump vs. a fibroid along with several pieces of collateral information with tips on preventing early detection of breast cancer. Several other vendors offered highly discounted services, with all proceeds going to B4BC; such as $5 manicures, giveaways like free organic chap stick from Hive Lip Balm, items from Skull candy and a photo booth adorned with various props and gadgets. The back wall was lined with beautifully wrapped raffle prizes that all guests could have participated in for a small fee.

Dj Freqnik of the Red Bull Music Academy ended the night with a dance party with hyper-toned beats and a variety of dance music that had many on the dance floor kick off their high heels enjoying the rest of the night.
