This year’s hotspot to hit up after all of the best Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week shows was none other than Gerber Group’s Stone Rose Lounge inside Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle.  Each night the sleek lounge hosted a different after party and live entertainment, featuring DJ’s like Danny Avila (the 17 year old who is making big waves in the electronic dance scene) and DJ Theory.

Wednesday night’s party celebrated another successful season for Badgley Mischka and not only did we get to witness the live Tweetup taking place, but we had a chance to sit down with the designing duo and chat.  Here’s a snippet of our “outside the box” interview session which provided a lot of laughs and fun conversation:

Socially Superlative:  If you died and went to heaven, what stores would be up there?

Mark Badgley: Bergdorfs, of course…..and Saks Fifth Ave!

James Mischka: Hermes

SS: What restaurants would be in heaven to relax and dine after your shopping spree?

JM: Raoul’s on Prince Street

MB: Don’t forget a coffee at Stumptown!

SS: What are your favorite movies?

MB: Lawrence of Arabia

JM: Now Voyager

SS: What trend would you like to see go away?

MB: Casual Friday!

JM: Yes, we don’t allow this in our office.  We encourage cocktail chic attire, not casual.

SS: These days, anything goes in fashion….mixing and matching is the norm.  Where do we draw the line between stylish and just plain “messy”?

MB: It’s important to remember that you only get one chance to make a great first impression!

SS: If you had a week with nothing to do, where would you travel?

JM: Actually, we just purchased a new home on the Gold Coast of Long Island, so we are enjoying spending our free time (what little there is) making our house a home.

MB: We probably won’t travel this holiday season and spend our time at the house.

It was such an honor to interview these two and they were delightfully funny!  Afterwards, the night heated up even more when DJ Danny Avila took the stage and performed a set for the sexy fashion-crazed crowd.  We can’t wait to see what Gerber Group and Stone Rose Lounge have in store for the next MBFW, but we’re sure it will be amazing!
