Last weekend, we got a chance to check out the newest comedy lounge on the block and it just so happens to be a foodie’s paradise as well.  Gramercy’s hip new hangout, The Stand, features a cozy restaurant and bar with a fabulous menu sure to win over even the pickiest of food snobs.  Downstairs you can get your kicks with a lineup of some of the best comedians in the country.

The opening night buzz was palpable from the street as well-heeled New Yorkers rolled onto the scene to catch an all-star lineup from comedy vets such as Artie Lange (Howard Stern, MadTV, Sirius Radio), Judah Friedlander (30 Rock) and a surprise visit by Dane Cook!  Even our emcee of the evening, Lynne Koplitz had us laughing our faces off the entire night in between performances.

The Stand’s biggest scene stealer though must be Chef Seth Levine.  With a menu that offers a crabcake sandwich, tuna tartare cannolis, and truffled mac and cheese, this is now our new go-to spot for late night bites with a side of funny.

Good luck deciding on what to order, because everything sounds and looks amazing.  We finally settled on the burger, the Peking duck pizettes and waffle fries, but we are going back ASAP for the pizza empanadas, hangar steak and Nutella fondue pot (YESSS!).

Check out the new restaurant and comedy lounge located at 239 Third Avenue in New York City.  Book a table now for the weekend because this place is on fire already.  You will thank us later!

Cheers,
