What better way to spend National Liqueur Day, October 16th, than sipping down some specialty cocktails, made with Marie Brizard‘s premium dark chocolate liqueur Chocolat Royal, at the Upper East Side’s heaven-for-a-sweet-tooth Dylan’s Candy Bar.
With a trio of hand-crafted cocktails by Master Mixologist Paulo Sousa, I started out my evening of liquid decadence with a Royal Cup, a heaping shot of Chocolat Royal served in an edible chocolate cup. Ssmmooootthh!

So good!
I followed that up with the 3rd of Paulo’s cocktails, the minty Royal Eight, the perfect balance of choco and mint, and what a self-created concoction which I coined, “Liquid Mounds,” a chilled combination of Chocolat Royal and the new Sobieski Toasted Coconut Vodka.

Thanks to Carolina and Danielle at Imperial Brands for inviting me to a fun and TASTY evening. By the way, I bet you’d love the recipes to these delectable cocktails, eh? Well, go ask the creator, Paulo himself, I’m sure he’d luv to see you at Ed’s Chowder House. Be sure to also pick up your own bottle of Chocolat Royal. Try Astor Wine & Spirits downtown, Beekman Liquors in Midtown East, or Ninth Avenue Vintner and Ray & Frank Liquor in Hell’s Kitchen.
