To kick off the start of the holiday season, we celebrated with The Dizzy Fizz at the third annual Holiday Spirits Bazaar where we feast our eyes on all different types of delicious cocktails at Astor Center. The drinks were tasty, colorful and strong – truly embodying the holiday spirit!
Because of the success of the previous two years, this year the event was split into two separate sessions, attracting over 700 guests! To quench our thirst, the best bartenders were put on the spot, including Dale “King Cocktail” DeGroff, Jonathan Pogash, Damon Dyer, Jason Littrell and Elayne Duke.
While dutifully filling our glasses, the bartenders impressed us with their knowledge of the drinks and explained the artistry of their craft. During the VIP hour, Jim Meehan signed copies of the PDT Cocktail Book to share some secrets of the trade. We tried to take away some mental notes on some tips and tricks to make cocktails of our own, but let’s be real and just leave it to the professionals.
