The Guggenheim Young Collectors Council will celebrate 15 years of support of emerging artists and acquisitions of contemporary art for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum’s permanent collection with the Guggenheim Young Collectors Anniversary Party on December 11.
Hosts include YCC Cochairs Noreen K. Ahmad, Astrid Hill, Anne Huntington, and Dan Tanzilli.
An intimate dinner at the James Beard Award-winning the Wright restaurant at the museum will be followed by a larger cocktail reception in the rotunda with music selected by Guggenheim collection artist Xaviera Simmons. Now’s The Time, an exhibition featuring contemporary works acquired by the YCC by artists Wililam Cordova, Natascha Sadr Haghighian, and Alexandre Singh will be on view. Guests to the dinner receive admission to the reception as well as a limited-edition print by visual artist Alyson Shotz published by Artspace.
Tickets are $500 for the dinner and reception ($400 for members) and $200 for the reception only ($150 for members).
All ticket proceeds benefit the Guggenheim Young Collectors Council Art Fund to support the acquisition of works by emerging artists.
