The holidays in New York are idyllic, and one of the many traditions that are celebrated during this festive time of year is the Winter Wonderland Ball held at the New York Botanical Garden.
Each December, the city’s social circuit flocks north to the venue-turned-holiday oasis for the luxe black-and-white affair. Guests such as Andie Arthur, Monique Lhuillier, Michelle Harper and Byrdie Bell entered the whimsical wonderland donning frothy, floor-skimming ball gowns and svelte sequined garbs.
This year, the evening traditionally opened with a cocktail hour in the Palm Dome, as toy trains zipped amongst lush greenery and miniature New York icons in the annual Holiday Train Show exhibit. The designer-clad crowd was then shuffled into the main dining room, an ethereal white space dimly lit by candles and twinkling lights. In the middle, a dance floor beckoned guests before the second course was even served.
