On December 13th, Marriott Hotels & Resorts and WIRED hosted Collective ReMix, the fourth and final event of the WIRED + Marriott Culturazzi Series at the WIRED Store in Soho.
The night was meant to, not only feature the new lounges that Marriott has been introducing into their hotels to meet the expectations of their ever changing visitors, but also to offer sample items from their new 5-10-20 menu. the WIRED Store featured a model of Marriott’s new Greatroom, which offers the perfect space option for work and play.
Signature cocktails like the Pomegranate Spiked Cider and samples of dishes including Zucchini-Halloumi Pancakes, Beef Carpaccio Crostini and my favorite of the night, Grass-Fed Beef Sliders, were passed around to party-goers.
Entertainment included comedian Mark Normand of Funny or Die fame and Marriott Hotels & Resorts’ Aura Cam, where guests were able to have their mood read to find out what Marriott property they should travel to. In addition to all of the gadgets already on display in the WIRED Store, photographer and artist Todd McLellan showcased pieces from his latest series entitled, “Disassembled.” Pieces by brick artist Nathan Sawaya also stole the show.
DJ KISS got the guests dancing later in the night with upbeat music with video art simultaneously showing on the surrounding screens. A perfect compliment to a evening of art and technology.
