With all the frivolity that is fashion week, it’s refreshing to see there is still some altruistic good occurring too. On Wednesday, February 13th, over 200 fashion, beauty, and art movers and shakers gathered in SoHo at terrific event space Hudson and Broad to benefit the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals and Russell Simmon’s Diamond Empowerment Fund at the F.A.B. Fashion Week party.
B Spa Bar’s Diana Seo and Jorge Luis, the founders of F.A.B., in collaboration with PeoplePets.com, Elite Styles, and Dream in Heels PR, ensured guests would be well entertained viewing the collections of clothing designers Kara Laricks and Nelson Tavarez while sipping custom cocktails courtesy of Clique Vodka.
Celebrity DJ Twist set the mood while guests sampled delicious mini-cupcakes by Sweet and Flour between Mexican bites by Yerba Buena. Art installations by Hawk Alfredson and John Cichon decorated the venue and served as great conversation starters.
The always popular Royal Photo Booth and custom portrait stations were packed throughout the evening, as was the Nail Lounge NY complimentary nail design table. Priori complimentary makeup application and skin consultations and much-needed B Spa Bar massages were well received.
The highlight of the evening was when gala fixture and electric guitarist Sarah Charness & DRGS took the stage and treated guests to a new set of contemporary music.
Overall, the evening was fun and guests were well entertained, fed, and liquored throughout the night. The tickets and charity auction raised funds for the F.A.B. causes, and guests got to take home some great party favors with full size Priori beauty products (their face and body scrub is amazing), and a sweet treat from Sweet and Flour as well as a People magazine.
Happy Partying,
Jenicka
