Friday, May 17th through Sunday, May 19th, 2013
It seems that all New Yorkers know already know about the Great GoogaMooga taking place in Prospect Park this upcoming weekend.
The new and improved three day format starts off with Friday night being the Kickoff concert headlined by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Flaming Lips, and the whole weekend will be filled with great food vendors, drinks, desserts, and even more fantastic music!
Even though the Saturday and Sunday general admission is free, the lottery system of tickets was overflooded with entries, and a lot of people did not get tickets. However, we had a giveaway brought to you by American Express Serve and the GoogaMooga lounge for admission for two along with two $10 food vouchers – and we have a winner! Congrats to Joy W. for being the lucky winner headed to GoogaMooga this weekend!
Disclosure: Tickets and vouchers are compensated by M Booth on behalf of American Express Serve for this post. The opinions and experiences are that of myself. Transparency is everything!
People’s enthusiasm for authentic food and drink has assumed the kind of passion once reserved for music.
We’re driven to discover new restaurants and brilliant chefs. We pursue exciting new ingredients and recipes. We revel in the most human joy of lingering over a great meal with people we care about.
And that’s why Great GoogaMooga is more than a festival. It’s a community brought together by a shared passion.
At Great GoogaMooga you will eat and drink from New York’s top restaurants and leading wineries and breweries. You’ll listen to top musical acts. You’ll dine, dance and drink with your friends at imaginatively themed parties and events. You’ll connect with a community that understands that the best things in life aren’t things at all—they’re experiences like this.
Presented by the folks who bring you Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and other major festivals—and served up with Brooklyn “indie” spirit—Great GoogaMooga is a celebration of all that’s good to eat, drink, experience and share here in America’s food capital.
A NEW 3-DAY FORMAT
Great GoogaMooga has Brooklyn in its soul, and Prospect Park is the perfect setting. We’ll launch this year on Friday with a Kickoff Concert. Since the focus will be the Nethermead Stage, a few areas of the festival will not be open on Friday night.
Then, Saturday and Sunday are two free-admission (but ticketed) days celebrating food, drink and music—featuring 85 of New York’s top restaurants, along with leading winemakers and brewers.
