On Thursday June 27th, Manhattan’s young professional tastemakers braved the inclement weather to fete the launch of Fendi perfumes newest mens’ fragrance, Fan di Fendi Pour Homme. The party was co-sponsored by Modern Luxury’s Manhattan Magazine who celebrated Anna Paquin’s sizzling June cover at the Catch Rooftop bash.
Celebrity DJ Mark Ronson spun for the partygoers who enjoyed custom libations with Belvedere Vodka, Peroni beers, and Moet & Chandon champagne. Guests including Million Dollar Listings Luis Ortiz, PIX 11’s Matt Semino, Modern Luxury’s Matthew Carroll, and LVMH’s president of fragrance brands Nicholas Munafo.
After sampling the manly smelling Fendi scent, guests were pleasantly surprised by a live performance of “Bang, Bang, Bang” by MNDR’s Amanda Warner. She then took over spinning after a Fendi-clad Mark Ronson’s set ended before guests ducked out to avoid the rainstorms.
First of all, can I just say, how gorgeous is this bottle?! Furiosa Fendi is like a gorgeous work of art! In fact it looks like a precious piece of jewellery with its animal inspired mosaic design.
According to Living better at 50, Furiosa Fendi the fragrance, is a quite a little power number. I have to say, I love fragrances that pack a bit of a punch because often I come across as a tad scatty and sometimes a bit of a buffoon (I tend to trip over occasionally), so it’s nice to wear a more serious, statement making fragrance that leaves a mark. If you know what I mean?
In fact, when I worked in the city, my colleagues used to know whether I had arrived or not by the smell of the lift! It was Dolce & Gabbana Femme back in those days – you know the one in the red velvet box?
Anyway, I digress… what I am trying to say is that Furiosa Fendi is one of those fragrances that people notice…which I like. It has quite a few of my favourite notes in there too.
Furiosa Fendi – The Notes
It’s an amber floral woody fragrance. Here’s the lowdown!
Top Notes – Pink peppercorn, Bergamot (so uplifting for me)
Middle Notes – Gardenia, Jasmine Absolute, Violaciocca Flower
Base Notes – Gaiac Wood, Amber
It’s a beautifully warm fragrance with lots of depth – just perfect as we are coming into Autumn. And it really lasts! I spritzed it on my wrist at about 6pm last night and could still smell its soft smoky warmth before I got in the shower this morning. It’s one of those ones that will stay on your coat and you’ll just smell great all the time!
Furiosa Fendi is a really sensual, sexy scent – super feminine but powerful at the same time. It has a brightness that’s not too floral, with a gorgeous creamy finish that smells like skin but a lot more exciting (if you know what I mean?!).
I’m a fan! I’ll be reaching for Furiosa Fendi when I want to make an impression. The only thing I’m not sure about is the name – Furious! It’s an emotion I try to avoid but certainly not one I’m unfamiliar with!
