During the AC Food and Wine Festival, Socially Superlative was fortunate enough to check out the newest pool to hit the scene in Atlantic City, HQ Beach Club at Revel. We wanted to check out the space last year when the highly-anticipated mecca that is Revel opened, but the outdoor adult playground wasn’t ready just yet.

If a chill environment is what you’re after, you’ll want to come out on a Thursday or Friday when the crowds are less and you can indulge in some day drinking and calm pool time. This is what we opted for.

We started with a pitcher of one of their Skinny Cocktail concoctions, called Skinny Dippin. With a mixture of Absolut Peach, Sugar Free Triple Sec, Blue Curacao, and Light Lemonade, this bevi clocks in at under 150 calories per 16oz serving. It’s perfect for watching that beach body figure and with the turquoise color it looks pretty fun too!

While the full snacking menu is not available just yet (we were informed  it should be available in a few weeks), we were able to try one of the pre-made options, with pita chips and hummus, which was light and the perfect amount of food to have poolside on a hot summer day.

Bottom line, if you’re looking for a more low-key chill vibe at the best pool in Atlantic City, you’ll want to stop by on a Thursday or Friday. If you’re looking to recreate a Vegas-style pool party, you’ll want to get a table or brave the crowds on a Saturday or Sunday.

HQ Beach Club has some heavy hitter DJs to finish out the summer season, including R3hab on August 11^th, Chuckie on August 18^th and finishing with a bang with Roger Sanchez and Boris on September 2^nd for Labor Day.
