For those who need to get out some aggression, try your hand at some crab smashing. This is exactly what we did at the 2013 Hammer & Claws Blue Crab Feast.
Held in the spacious hallways of the Tunnel in West Chelsea, hundreds of crab smashers came for two days and three sessions of feasting on Maryland blue crabs. MD-native Joshua Morgan founded Hammer & Claws in 2011 to bring the true blue crab experience to New York City, and transported 40,000 to 50,000 live blue crabs fresh from the Chesapeake Bay. Always steamed, never boiled!
