The biggest Monday Musicals to date took place at XL Cabaret on Monday, October 21st to celebrate Dougie Meyer‘s birthday.
Revelers celebrated XL Promotional Director Dougie Meyer‘s birthday and sang and danced along to VJ Tony Built‘s music and visuals from some of Broadway’s biggest shows, which could be viewed across a half-dozen screens throughout the club.
Over 250 guests including Tony Award winning producers Paul Boskind and John Pinckard were entertained with 13 performances by some of Broadway’s finest. The night kicked off with a number by Glee and Godspell‘s Telly Leung, followed by Jessica Hendy (Cats), Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys), Joe Chisholm, Amber Iman (Soul Doctor), Alan Wiggins (The Lion King), Dionne Higgins (Motown The Musical), Darrell Hunt, Mia Gentile (50 Shades of Fucked Up), John Edwards (Jersey Boys), Kenny Holcomb and Mike Schwitter (The Book of Mormon). The Lion King’s Chondra Profit closed the night with a cover of Titaniam.
Upcoming events at XL Cabaret include the all-male string quartet Well-Strung, Electro Pop Saturday and The Rocky Horror Experience.
