Rebecca Minkoff is known for staging runway shows with live music, literally. Her shows is one of the biggest and most talked about season after season. I was delighted to attend my first RM show after eight seasons with my fashion buddy, Andre.
Aluna George provided the music for the 28 looks. Rebecca Minkoff’s fall 2014 collection introduces the notion of modern practicality, opting for a simpler, more understated approach to dressing. With an emphasis on clean lines and harmonious separates. Minkoff’s version of the contemporary woman shines through: She strikes a balance between masculine and feminine with confident ease.
The collection redefines classic menswear through feminine colors and softer silhouettes . Tailored Crombie coats, boyish trousers, and sharp button-downs get the ladylike treatment as they are slimmed-down and shown in a palette if soft grey, petal pink, noble green, navy, and tobacco.
