Taste of Greenwich House by Socially Superlative (9)

On Monday, March 10th, I got the opportunity to attend the Taste of Greenwich House charity event for Greenwich House. Greenwich House offers social services, arts and education to thousands of New Yorkers.

The event was bigger than I had imagined. No less than 34 vendors attended the event, from Ommegang Brewery to L’Apicio and everything in between.

Some of my favorites were Lantern’s Keep with the bar manager’s drink Trustfall, BarBacon’s pork sliders, oyssters with a Bloody Mary cocktail as sauce from Oysters XO and marcipans and chooclates from Li-Lac Chocolates. This made a complete dinner in heaven and there were even more wonderful food and drinks to choose from.

The entertainment for the evening was the band Just Jazzy, raffle tickets, photo booth and last but not least, the Silent Auction. The silent Auction was an array of various packages and art. You could sign up for a sleepover at the American Museum of Natural History for four children, a personal trainer, Kinky Boots tickets brunch for four at Tribeca Grill and much much more. There was something for everyone.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I know I did. If you want to contribute and help out your fellow New Yorkers check out Greenwich House or stop by next time they should have a tasting event. You would give to charity and at the same time have a great evening with food and entertainment.
